Here is a closeup of the breadboard showing some of the components, all the ones labled except the port expander are currently functional.
A view of the soon to be obsolete display...as you can see, with the time, date, room and tank temps displayed, the current 2x16 display is packed and won't show enough info for the final design...we are moving to a 4x16 display for twice the room....
Next a view of the Tank temperature sensor...it consists of a transistor soldered to a shielded cable and coated in the highest tech water-proof coating I have readily available...the standard hot-melt glue gun :)
