I placed the fan on the sump to blow over the water and out the back of the stand. I positioned Fan number 2 to draw cool air into the bottom of the stand. Hopefully this will be good air flow and give me some cooling...If not I got 3 more fans for the canopy to get air moving over the tank, in addition to the fan in the lights. Here is the overview with the intake fan and the sump fan...both mounted with zip ties...what can I say?
Finally, a view of the sump fan in action...the camera almost has the shutterspeed to stop the fan blades...but not quite :)
I hope this has been helpful for people, and at least to spread the word that you don't need computer powersupplies just because they are computer fans. 4 HUGE (relatively) fans running easily on 1 9v wall wart. I will let you readers know how the temps go, and how much of an evaporation problem this causes. I think this project was pretty good for about 2 hours of time and and less than $70 for parts...all of that fans. Remember that you can usually save money buy buying from Digikey or Mouser on any electronic parts. Thanks for reading! SWN
